@7LET`S GET DOWN TO PARRYING
==========================
@1
I`ve come to a few conclusions about parrying:
1, Parrying should be a skill that any PC can learn.
2, Fighters should get parrying free.
3, With enough skill most things can be parried.
4, TSRs parrying rule is useless.
5, An opposed to hit roll is probably a good idea.
Well OK 2 is my own opinion as I don't think you can learn how to use
a sword without knowing how to parry, and so it should come with being a
fighter. I think your point about not parrying a dragon's claw is a fair,
but then parrying isn't necessarily blocking the attack. A parry
of a large object would involve moving your body out of the way while
changing the direction of the attack so that you are not hit. The change
only has to be slight to avoid the blow.
